Why This Resource Exists
Texas provides public access to many records, but no single portal covers every release. GCSO holds the county booking and release or transfer record. TDCJ runs the state offender search and publishes projected or release-related fields. BPP and the Parole Division handle state supervision, while county courts document community supervision. Former federal prisoners may remain in the BOP locator. This site organizes those routes, request steps, and official sources in one place.
Records Covered Here
The content follows the custody system that created each record:
- The home page's released-person search and record path, plus release dates, VINELink alerts, and parole or probation.
- Separate pages for all county, municipal, state medical, juvenile, federal, and immigration facilities or systems mapped in Galveston County.
- Clear steps for using GCSO P2C and the statewide TDCJ search without confusing current custody with past release.
- Written-request routes for booking, release, transfer, and booking-photo records.
Limits of This Site
This is a privately operated reference with no connection to GCSO, TDCJ, BPP, any jail, court, or government agency.
- We cannot release, hold, or transfer a person.
- We cannot post bond, arrange visits, or send funds.
- We cannot provide legal advice.
- We cannot guarantee that every contact, fee, or address remains current.
Only the responsible sheriff, jail, corrections agency, or court can confirm an official custody, charge, or release record.
Search Partners
Some pages contain search tools run by outside providers. Those providers set their own prices and control their results. If a visitor chooses a paid signup through one of those tools, this site may receive a referral fee that helps keep the public reference free. We do not control a partner's pricing, coverage, or output.
